Mindless Elf Indulgence
Retired!
Description
They said you shouldn't bring Elves from all corners of the fantasy realm together, they wouldn't play together as a team, it would be a mess (to be fair, they were probably right), but we did it anyway. |

Lessons Learned So, I chose Dark Elves as my first team to use in a league, and I would definitely do that again, but this was still a learning experience. For example, you get a strength boosted guy, don't give him pass block. And your assassin, while 8 armor is nice, the chance to jump into a cage and stab, would have been better. But I got better as I went along, and had fun with them, truly a good start to my blood bowl league career.
Player of the team: The dynamic, and ability of the team changed with Legolas' 5 agility. He could get into cages, through defenses and dictate match-ups. He scored a high mark of 45 SPP in a season, and led the elves with 84 all said. Special mention to Galadriel for embodying the dark in dark elves with her 20 total casualties and 4 kills.
Play of the team: There can be only one, the miraculous dodge, and long pass against the Nurgle is the only real choice. An improbable win on the last turn, and the victory that made the coach believe this team had a chance against anyone. |

Going out the way Elves should MEI skidded to end the regular season, losing the last two in shootouts, but still made the playoffs. In round one, they managed to get revenge against the Lizards, avenging the two regular season losses.
Moving from reptiles to amphibians would not prove to be as beneficial. Arwen injured two, then took herself out of the game on a one die block. The guard pieces of the slann meant MEI couldn't get into cages enough, and a well time pit trap, along with a not so well planned placement of Drizzt, and we're going to overtime.
With one last hope to get a shot in the cage, the dice go 1 and 1 on a dodge roll. The slann do not get so unlucky, and get the score. Still a good run for Mindless. |

Move Move and show me what you can do When you step onto the pitch and run like we do Move when you just can't block it And move if you just feel like scoring it
If block defined the first game with the Orcs, speed defined this game, as MEI was eventually able to run around the Oliveskins. Despite some good offense by the Tealskins, the movement value allowed MEI to make some big plays and hold on for the win.
Play of the game, Arwen dodges to get an assist, Elrond dodges and knocks the ball away, Drizzt picks it up and passes to Zz'Dtri, who runs up and hands to Legolas, who puts himself out of the reach of the Mintskins. The Elves would score their 3rd and final touchdown, which would prove to be enough. |
