This is the game that never ends
This is the game that never ends
Yes it goes on and on my friend
Some elves started playing it
Not knowing what it was
But the nurgle kept on playing it just because

After nearly 5 hours, MEI and IC ended up deadlocked, but not without some bad rolls, bad choices, and near misses that will leave both coaches thinking what if. MEI won the casualty war, but to often had 7 or less on the pitch. Twice Irkalla rolled one(s) that prevented TDs. And after 24 turns (hours, days, etc) it ended up all tied.

The play of the game wasn't a score, nor did it end up preventing a score, but Arwen capitalized on a blitz on the kickoff to push back Spleenripper, and then with the benefit of a missed sure hands roll, knocked him off the pitch before he could hit one elf. Don't bring those wimpy chainsaws around MEI.

Bringin' on the Heartbreak
You're bringin' on the heartache
Takin' all the best of me
Oh can't you see?
You got the best of me
Whoah can't you see?

Real lyrics for a really tough loss. All 3 TD were scored on the last play of each respective half (and overtime). I had hope for a tie when a skink missed two dodge rolls, and then Legolas got the ball, but trying one extra go for it to avoid an interception chance and possibly being pushed out of bounds, led to a fall and fumble. That allowed 25K to pick up the ball and get the win on turn 8 of overtime.

Play of the game, well Legolas used his 5 agility to consistently get into cages, but picking the ball up and making two go for its to place him to far away to be tackled set up MEI's lone score. Even a pit trap could stop him from getting the ball in the end zone.

Elves Fall
Let the elves fall
When they crumble
Dark Elves stand tall
Face them all together
And the elves fall
Yes the elves fall

Two added star players weren't enough to derail MEI, as they used a blitz roll on a kickoff, and some good hits to survive the fouling elves of No Mr. Bond. A nice word to Legolas' added agility, as that played a key part in the dark elves victory.

Play of the game, on the second kickoff, the ball landed just next tot he mid line, and when MEI got the blitz, they were able to surround the ball, and catch it, eventually going on to score TD number 2, and take a commanding lead.

Ch-ch-ch-ch-Chainsaw
Ch-ch-ch-ch-Chainsaw
(Doesn't go their way)
Ch-ch-Chainsaw
Just gonna have to try a different guy
They try to chainsaw me
But my elves don't miss time

When you buy a chainsaw guy, and he doesn't get to chainsaw anyone before two bribes unsuccessfully try to keep him on the field, it may not be your day. And hence the Gifted Horror, was horrified as they gifted TDs to the elves.

With sunny skies overhead, the elves went to the hand off game early, and scored a second turn TD when Drizzt was able to run up, hand the ball to ZZ'Dtri, who made managed to make one extra movement to get into the endzone. MEI never looked back after that.

Elves from the Block
Don't be fooled by the race that I'm not
Orcs fall, Orcs fall because I've got block
Used to have a little, now I have a lot
No matter where they go, I still know they'll fall (Dark Elves Rock)

The elves were more skilled than the Orcs, and that is what made the difference. With almost all elves having block, quite a few Orc turns ended turns early due to unfortunate rolls, and even the pouring rain couldn't stop the Elf offense, leading to an MEI win.

Play of the game, setting up the first score, Dalamor was able to do some dodging to get away from the sideline, Drizzt (avoiding being really stupid for the roll) ran up to Arwen, who took the hand off, and after situating herself between Dalamor and some orcs, made a perfect throw. It would take one more turn, but it gave the elves a lead they would never relinquish.

Three Days Grace got it right
Let's start a riot, a riot
Let's start a riot
Let's start a riot, a riot
Let's start a riot

Going into overtime, with one turn and kick coming, that was the most likely scenario, but oh that riot, and then some good rolls, including completing a long pass in a disturbing presence zone (along with a wizard left with spell in hand) allowed MEI to get the win.

Play of the Game: Last play of the game, Arwen dodges twice to get to the end zone, Legolas hands to Drizzt, who moves up and completes the pass after a failed interception roll, and needing a reroll on the pass. Leading to the elves first win against a bash team.

Rolling 1's on a D6
Started out bad, looking like a blizzard,
Got nice and then 8 TD, damn those lizzards,
Got it back quick, 2 turns with my D6,
Then the rolls went bad on my D6,
1 on a D6, 1 on a D6,
Now I'm crying due to 1's on a D6.

So it wasn't all ones, bounces could have been kinder, and my team seemed stunned to often, thankfully there were no injuries, but the season starts on a down note.

Play of the game: The one guy guarding Legolas got knocked away, Drizzt ran over and handed it off to Ernie Keebler who completed the short pass to Legolas, who waltzed in for the score.

There ain't no rising from this
The playoffs will not happen, but MEI ended the year on a good note, beating the Necromats of Guess Who's Back. The dice were kind to the elves, and not so much to the dead guys, and MEI wound up with their biggest margin of victory, and 2nd non forfeit shut out.

For the personal MVP for the game, Galadriel broke out of her slump, getting Indulgence's only casualty, and scoring 2 TDs to gain the coaches respect.

One would have thought Galadriel would have also been nominated for the player of the year for the 2nd straight year, but the coach decided to think outside the box, and nominate Drizzt, the Dark Elf Runner. Drizzt had 27 SPPs this year, almost as many as Galadriel's 29, but did it only 6 games, and had a crazy 24 completions in that time.

Rats... foiled for the first time
The luck would not continue, Sparkly got their glam on and dashed any hopes MEI had to make the playoffs. As with any blood bowl game, when the rolls are going against you, it's tough to win, and the rolls were not on the Elves side this game. Some good strategy by the Milky Rats also led them to score the most TDs against Mindless.

I really want to give the coaches MVP to Drizzt, Who continues to complete a ton of passes each game, but An amazing job by Arwen intercepting a pass, and then going in for a TD with minimal help is too much to pass up. That play also gave MEI some hope to still compete, even though that hope would soon be dashed.

I could not Pass up this victory
MEI started throwing early, and throwing often, and the rolls just never went bad. Completing a staggering 12 passes, the elves made the (Not So) Mighty Greest Litenin bow to their will. Slightly aided by an extra turn due to a riot, MEI scored at will. MGL had an uber aggressive strategy, which led to a few fumbles, while they could not knock an elf down when needed.

Personal MVP was close as Drizzt continues to rack up a storm as a passer, almost doubling his completions in just one game, but Arwen's three touchdowns will not be denied.

With just two games left, it's looking like MEI will need to win out to have a shot at the playoffs. Regardless, season 2 has been much more kind than season one for the these elves.

1+1=Failure
There was hope. But hope requires a few rolls to go ones way. Those rolls instead just went as 1s for MEI this day. An early death (self inflicted) was also a precursor of things to come.

At one point the Elves rolled four straight 1's, ending two turns before they even had a chance to begin. After a few other injuries, and another fumble, the Elves retreated, the Orcs thankfully didn't pursue, and Mindless (mostly) lived to see another day.

Personal MVP goes to Drizzt. With 4 completions, he guaranteed a new skill for MEI (just not for him). He was perhaps the only Elf to roll well (and he still needed a few Sure Hand rolls to make that true).

Splinter Twin effect
Splinter, as in the dirty rat trainer of those turtles (how about a turtle blood bowl team, nah), twin, as in the second straight Skaven team to meet MEI's vengeance. Effect, as in effective, scoring a team record 4 TDs, and getting a couple kills along the way.

Mindless has really taken advantage of the agility teams they've faced this year. With two more Mice teams coming up, they will have to continue that if they continue to struggle with bashers along the way.

Personal MVP will go to Galadriel who not only added to her body count, but also scooped up the winning TD with 2 turns to go. Special shout out to Drizzt, who has been passing up a storm in his first to games for Indulgence, here's to him not dying.

Coaching Errors can't derail MEI
If a journeyman is available for a match, you should probably play him. But the coach of Mindless, truly was, as he forgot he had a journeyman for the match. That wasn't the only thing he forgot, as the turn marker also apparently was lost in his mind, which led to multiple lost ReRolls.

Despite that, the Elves managed to pull out a tough game against those dirty sparkly rats in milk. New Runner Drizzt completed a pass and score a TD, and Buddy got pumped up now that it is close to Christmas and completed a pass and scored 2 TDs, one on the last play of the game to secure the victory, and earn the coaches MVP (which gets him no SPPs, but we're sure makes him feel warm inside).

One is not the loneliest number
Because there were so many ones being rolled during MEI's last game, they could have fielded their own team. Add in some bad weather about half way through the game, and the elves couldn't get the passing game going (aided by those Damn Nurgles and their Disturbing Presence of course).

The bad rolling didn't hurt Corrupters as much, as their bad rolls didn't end up costing them much, and a 6 on an interception roll put the game on ice. MEI now has to alter tactics as the prepare to play 4 of their next 5 games against some low down sneaky rats of Skaven.

Doomed by the Kickoff Event
A perfect defense, a blitz, add it an unfortunate toss in from the crowd meant MEI couldn't take advantage of a soft hitting Orc team and went down in defeat.

The opening kickoff went well, the ball was free, but some poor planning by the Elves allowed it to be knocked out of bounds, the resulting throw in went as badly as possible and it was downhill from there. Thanks to a three completions at the end of the first half, and a extra MVP it wasn't a complete wast.

Personal MVP, really, no one, but since I have to choose, I'll pick Legolas who's two completions on the last two plays eventually allowed him to get an MVP and an extra skill.

Elves kick elves when they're down!
They're not just called dark because of their skin. Using a little mighty blow, and an added strength, MEI cruised to a victory of the Lack of Honor Guard. Although the score showed just 2-1, LHG had only three players on the pitch at the end of the game, so the game was never in doubt.

This third win (and second non-forfeit) was the most complete game played by Mindless. I'd like to say they're coming into their own, but until they actually beat an entrenched team, we'll just have to say they have potential.

My personal MVP for the match goes to Galadriel, who continues to use her Mighty Blow to down unsuspecting opponents. With a shout out to Arwen, who despite comping no stats, frustrated the Guard with her 4 strength.
