The University of Iowa wrestling program is one of the most successful athletic programs in NCAA Division I. The University of Iowa Hawkeyes are a member of the Big Ten Conference. Iowa is second in NCAA history with 23 national championships, all of which have come since 1975.

End of the Line Congratulations Men! You did it!
Usually at the end of the season I try to get you all geared up for the next one but it looks like you are all going into retirement. Well, enjoy it!
I cannot express to you how proud I have been of you these last 3 games. You went through the #3, #2 and #5 seed to win it all. I don't think the odds-makers had us favored in any of those games but you proved them all wrong.
So, thank you for making this old coach the happiest guy alive.
I would retire with you but this new team from Transylvania wants me to teach them the nuances of the game. Wish me luck! |

Weeks 1-3 Two good weeks to start the season but the beating we took from those Putrid Pummelers might set us back a bit. Hopefully we can get a bounce back against the Gougers from Giza. |

End of Season 24 A solid end to a disappointing season. Needed 3 wins to close it out and only got 2. However, those 2 wins were against playoff teams, so next season looks to be a good one.
Now, our off season training regimen is going to be tougher than ever. So strap on your headgear and get on the mat. It's time to wrestle! |

Demolition! That's more like it! We need that kind of effort every time out, fellas. We could have won that game in regulation. If it wasn't for that cut-rate wizard we hired, taking our money and not doing the job, that could have been finished in regular time. As it is, a win is a win. We'll take it. We learned a lot and we got a bunch of personal improvement out of it.
Next up are those angry avians and there terminal twittering. We will need an even bigger effort to get a win in that game. They are sure to bring lots of tricks to try and confuse us. |
